The Iranian regime\u2019s unbridled enmity and demonizing campaign against its main opposition, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI \/ MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has been stepped up following the widespread protests and uprising that began last December in Iran. The goal of the Mullahs\u2019 demonization campaign<\/span><\/a> and spreading misinformation against the PMOI is to prepare the ground for terrorism and bloodshed both inside the country and abroad. This reality was experienced many times at the expense of many lives lost in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"On Thursday, April 19, 2018, Albanian Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, in response to a question about terrorist threats against the PMOI (MEK) in his country, said: \u201cI believe that, for MEK we did the right thing. We gave accommodation to a group which is persecuted. And that’s it. Regarding your question about security and threats, we are in the right side of history; we are in a group of countries of euro Atlantic club which are threatened in the same way. I believe that all these countries take measures against terrorism threats.\u201d (Vizion Plus television, April 19, 2018)<\/span><\/p>\n

Prime Minister Edi Rama was referring to the part of the widespread terrorist plots of the mullahs\u2019 regime against the Iranian Resistance in various countries, from Albania to Germany and even as far as the United States. The Iranian Resistance has for over a month been involved in a concerted effort to neutralize the regime\u2019s plots to carry out assassinations and terrorist attacks against the offices of the NCRI and PMOI.<\/span><\/p>\n

The followings briefly describe the terrorist cycle of the mullahs\u2019 regime following the uprising in Iran:<\/span><\/p>\n

1 – On March 22, 2018, Albanian media outlets reported the arrest of two Iranian agents under suspicions of terrorist activities in Tirana. They were identified by the initials F. Z. and S. M. who \u201cintroduced themselves as journalists.\u201d According to Albanian news reports \u201cThese two Iranian citizens were arrested for further investigation by anti-terrorism agencies after information was received from Albania\u2019s international partners stating that they were planning to carry out a terrorist operation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ali Fallahian, a former Intelligence Minister of the Iranian regime, had on July 9, 2017 said: \u201cIn order to gather intelligence, the Intelligence Ministry uses various covers both inside the country and abroad. We don\u2019t send an intelligence agent to Germany or to the US to say \u2018I am from the Intelligence Ministry.\u2019 It\u2019s necessary for them to operate under covers such as traders or journalists.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

2 – On March 22, 2018, Albanian TV\u00a0reported<\/span><\/a>: \u201cSince the beginning of the month, intelligence and anti-terrorism agencies have been monitoring 10 people who are said to be able to organize terrorist activities in Albania. All Iranian citizens who enter Albania are under widespread surveillance both at the border and during their stay in Albania. Law enforcement agencies in Albania are in particular worried about Iranians who could be used by Tehran\u2019s secret services to strike a blow to the protection of 3000 members of the Iranian Mojahedin who are refugees in Albania.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

3 – Since the start of 2018, there have been repeated cases of suspicious activities outside the office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Berlin<\/span><\/a>, such as pinpointing persons, photographing and mock parking maneuvres. The police and relevant officials are informed of these cases. The regime uses both Iranian agents and non-Iranian mercenaries in order to prepare its terrorist activities, At the start of April 2018, all signs pointed to preparation for a terrorist strike, and relevant officials were informed about this.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 – Simultaneously, there have been numerous cases of suspect acts of shadowing people and surveillance near the NCRI office in Washington by individuals of various nationalities, which point to serious terrorist threats. The police and relevant officials are informed of these threats.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 – The\u00a0Iranian regime\u2019s embassies<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and intelligence services use mobile telephone tracking devices to determine the location and identity of targeted mobile phone users. There are many known instances of these efforts. <\/span><\/p>\n

6 – The regime also makes maximum use of the support and resources it receives from governments that currently support the regime or are aligned with it, against its opponents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some Background:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 – Ali Khamenei on January 9, 2018 reiterated that the uprising in Iran was organized by the PMOI who had planned for it months ahead. He threatened: \u201cWe must speak with and enlighten those who entered the fray in the spur of the moment, including students and non-students, but the [PMOI] should be treated differently.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Subsequently, the regime\u2019s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) deliberated and decided over making their response \u201coperational\u201d. Two of its decisions were to:<\/span><\/p>\n

– Spy on and deal with those identified to be the leading instigators domestically.
\n– Carry out planning to strike a major blow to the [PMOI] based on the current capabilities of the Revolutionary Guards and the Intelligence Ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 \u2013 IRGC\u2019s General Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the SNSC, on January 1, 2018 (Day 5 of the protests) announced that the PMOI \u201cwill receive an adequate response from where they don\u2019t expect it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

3 – The Iranian regime\u2019s former President, Mullah Mohammad Khatami, on January 2 stated: \u201cThe United States and the [PMOI] and some regional countries are supporting and encouraging the rioters\u2026 The Iranian people will never forget the crimes and enmity of the opportunist deceivers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

4 – According to the French news agency AFP, the Iranian regime\u2019s President, Hassan Rouhani, in a one-hour telephone call to the French President on January 2 demanded action against the activities of a \u201cterrorist\u201d Iranian group based in France whom he accused of fomenting recent protests.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a clear reference to the PMOI, Rouhani stated: \u201cWe criticize the fact that a terrorist group has a base in France and acts against the Iranian people\u2026 and we await action from the French government against this terrorist group.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Referring to this news, the French newspaper Le Figaro on January 4 wrote: \u201cIn the Elys\u00e9e, it is said that we have never had discussions with the Iranians where the issue of the Mojahedin (PMOI) has not been at some point mentioned to us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
