The world witnessed the largest-ever online event of \u201cFree Iran World\u00a0Summit 2021<\/a>\u201d held by the\u00a0National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a>\u00a0on July 10 and 11. Over one thousand political dignitaries, including 250 lawmakers from both sides of the Atlantic, joined this summit on Saturday and Sunday. Over 50,000 locations were connected to Ashraf 3, home to the Iranian opposition members in Albania. While the event was held virtually, dozens of in-person rallies were held in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Keynote speaker of this event was\u00a0Mrs. Maryam Rajavi,<\/a>\u00a0the Iranian opposition\u2019s president-elect.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the event will continue today, dozens of international media outlets widely covered the Free Iran World Summit. They underlined the presence of\u00a0high-profile\u00a0politicians in the Free Iran World Summit, including Secretary Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State of the United States, and Honorable\u00a0Janez\u00a0Jan\u0161a, the Prime Minister of Slovenia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Supporters of Iran\u2019s exiled opposition rallied in Berlin and elsewhere on Saturday to demand the prosecution of the Islamic Republic\u2019s newly elected president, Ebrahim Raisi, whom they accuse of crimes against humanity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Flag-waving demonstrators rallied at Berlin\u2019s Brandenburg Gate and other locations as part of a Free Iran World Summit that featured speeches by former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Slovenian Prime Minister\u00a0Janez\u00a0Jansa.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a keynote address, Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, accused Raisi of being the \u201chenchman\u201d responsible for the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pompeo was one of several bipartisan speakers at Saturday\u2019s National Council of Resistance of Iran\u2019s (NCRI) \u201cFree World Summit,\u201d where the former U.S. State Department head under former President Donald Trump cautioned against financial incentives as part of ongoing nuclear deal talks. He said the recent Iranian election of the hardline President Ebrahim Raisi is just the latest evidence that Tehran is prepared to use any foreign money to \u201cinflict terror\u201d on its own people and the Middle East.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A leading Iranian exiled opposition group on Saturday held a hybrid physical and virtual meeting it said was unprecedented in scope, lambasting incoming president Ebrahim Raisi as a \u201chenchman\u201d of the regime whose election showed its weakness.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event linked thousands of members of the People\u2019s Mujahedin\u00a0Organisation\u00a0of Iran (MEK\/PMOI) at their camp in Albania with supporters across the world online including US senators, British\u00a0MPs\u00a0and French lawmakers as well as protests in cities including Berlin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian government has expressed anger over the appearance of senior European and U.S. politicians at a rally in support of an opposition group that has long sought to overthrow Iran\u2019s theocratic rulers \u2014 and which was once considered a terror organization by the West.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s official IRNA news agency reported that the country\u2019s foreign ministry on Sunday summoned Slovenia\u2019s envoy in Tehran over a video message by the EU nations\u2019 prime minister at the event hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
