The Iranian regime has no way out of the deadlock of the Iranian people’s uprising and the economic crisis.<\/strong><\/small><\/p>\n

On January 20, Mohammad\u00a0<\/span>Javad<\/span>\u00a0Zarif<\/span><\/a>, the Iranian regime’s foreign minister, threatened the international community, in the regime\u2019s parliament, that the regime would withdraw from the<\/span>\u00a0nuclear<\/span>\u00a0Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) if the European powers trigger the dispute mechanism of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with world powers, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the regime\u2019s analysts\u00a0<\/span>pointed out\u00a0<\/span>that Zarif himself knows the dangers of this hollow threat, yet he has no other option. Other analysts also reminded the regime officials that\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>recent step by the EU powers w<\/span>ould\u00a0<\/span>ultimately pave the way for more sanctions; and given the explosive situation of the Iranian society and people\u2019s economic hardships, this w<\/span>ould\u00a0<\/span>certainly result in\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>new series of Iran protests.<\/span><\/p>\n

These words clearly reject the regime\u2019s bogus claim of developing\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>so-called \u201cResistance Economy<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>which has<\/span>\u00a0not earned a penny for the regime.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shahabaddin Bimeghdar, a member of the regime\u2019s parliament, admitted that the regime has no other way to cut the deficit but\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>get new taxes from peo<\/span>ple.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Javid\u00a0<\/span>Qurban<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Oglu<\/span>, a former regime diplomat, in\u00a0<\/span>an\u00a0<\/span>article in the state-run Jahan-e\u00a0<\/span>Sanat<\/span>\u00a0daily on January 21 titled \u201cLeaving NPT for the Public Opinion \u2013 means becoming North Korea<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d while referring to the regime’s global isolation and the tightening of sanctions, wrote: \u201cAny move which brings Europe closer to the U.S. is against our interests, and this threat [of leaving NPT] will certainly do so. We had Europe by our side at the beginning of the\u00a0JCPOA<\/a>. There was a big gap between Europe and the U.S. We should enlarge this gap and initiate negotiations with the Europeans, instead we have pushed Europe further toward America<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The state-run\u00a0<\/span>Shahrvan<\/span>d<\/span>\u00a0daily, close to Rouhani\u2019s faction<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0wrote on January 21: \u201cThe US banking and financial sanctions against us has reached its height. It is possible that following Europe\u2019s triggering of the dispute mechanism and our rejection of the Palermo and CFT bills,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>result\u00a0<\/span>will be<\/span>\u00a0more sanction<\/span>s<\/span>. But … in the current situation, domestic factors, rather than sanctions, can have an impact on the rising inflation, and more importantly the rapid increase of liquidity due to the government\u2019s deficit, and the fact that the government\u2019s expenses and spending are not compatible with its earnings.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this regard, the\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>tate-run Iran daily, which belongs to the government, in an article on January 21, titled \u201cListen to Economists,\u201d in contradiction to Zarif\u2019s recent threats<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0emphasized the regime\u2019s need to comply with the international community<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0wrote<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cEconomists have advised the government, and especially the central bank, to not stay away from the world banks and their advances, to hear the advi<\/span>c<\/span>e of the private sector, do not deny the science of economy, and most importantly, the central bank should become independent.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an article titled \u201cWhy Zarif Won’t Go to Davos<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d published on January 21, the state-run Jahan-e\u00a0<\/span>Sanat<\/span>\u00a0wrote:\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>We could have had this opportunity to find a way out of our economic problems if our foreign minister had attended the World Economic Forum. We could have had this opportunity to resolve diplomatic problems with Washington and its allies.\u201d The state-run newspaper further warned of the escalation of the regime\u2019s global isolation and economic suffocation and wr<\/span>ote<\/span>: \u201cIn fact, our absence in\u00a0<\/span>Davos makes the formation of a front, consisted of Arab and hostile countries, against us; as it happened in\u00a0<\/span>Munich<\/span>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the regime reaches its end, and after receiving irreparable blows such as the\u00a0Iran protests in November<\/a>\u00a0and January and the elimination of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)\u00a0Quds Force<\/a>\u00a0commander\u00a0Qassem Soleimani<\/a>, it is unable to either open up a dialogue with the western governments or to take hostile actions.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
