Iranians\u00a0<\/span>living in Germany,\u00a0<\/span>supporters of\u00a0the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI)<\/a>, also known as the\u00a0Mujahedin Khalq\u00a0<\/a><\/span>(<\/span>MEK<\/span>)<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>rallied<\/span>\u00a0in Berlin\u00a0<\/span>on Thursday\u00a0<\/span>in front of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Iran<\/span>ian<\/span>\u00a0regime\u2019s embassy\u00a0<\/span>in solidarity with the nationwide Iran protests and to\u00a0<\/span>commemorate the martyrs of the protests\u00a0<\/span>40 days after their deaths<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0MEK\u00a0<\/a>has announced that over 1,500\u00a0<\/span>protesters\u00a0<\/span>were killed by\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0I<\/span>r<\/span>anian r<\/span>egime’s forces<\/span>\u00a0in November.<\/span>\u00a0Reuters\u00a0<\/a>has also\u00a0<\/span>report<\/span>ed t<\/span>he same number of deaths<\/span>. On Thursday, the families of the Iran protests’ martyrs in various cities of Iran\u00a0<\/span>held memorials for their loved ones despite\u00a0<\/span>unprecedented<\/span>\u00a0security measures<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The military and security forces were dispatched in different cities and were assigned to prevent any protests. The regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) made a concerted effort to prevent the families of martyrs from commemorating and mourning for their loved ones. The MOIS had also created\u00a0<\/span>an\u00a0<\/span>intimidating military presence in sensitive parts of the city and even in cemeteries<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0MEK\u00a0<\/a>supporters’ gathering in Berlin was held in solidarity with the rallies announced in various Iranian cities<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the demonstration in Berlin, Iranians expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and condemned the regime’s ban on\u00a0<\/span>memorials for\u00a0<\/span>the martyrs\u00a0<\/span>in Iran<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Javad<\/span>\u00a0Dabiran<\/span>, Deputy Director of the\u00a0<\/span>Berlin office of\u00a0the\u00a0<\/a><\/span>National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>, called the regime’s heavy military and security measures in various cities, arbitrary arrests, especially of\u00a0 relatives of the martyrs,\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>severe internet blackout as an \u201cundeclared martial law<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d He said the massacre of\u00a0<\/span>defenseless\u00a0<\/span>demonstrators during the November uprising by the clerical regime\u00a0<\/span>was\u00a0<\/span>a crime against humanity and urged the international community, especially Western nations<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0to take decisive and practical action<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Demonstrators\u00a0<\/span>in Berlin\u00a0<\/span>called on the German government to condemn the bloody suppression of the Iran protests as a “crime against humanity<\/span>.<\/span>” They also\u00a0<\/span>urged<\/span>\u00a0the German government\u00a0<\/span>to support the dispatch of\u00a0<\/span>a fact-finding mission to Iran by the European Union and the United Nation to investigate the regime’s crimes<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0not least since\u00a0<\/span>the reports obtained by the\u00a0MEK\u00a0<\/a>confirm the death of over\u00a01500 individuals, 4,000 injured and 12,000 arrests in 191 Iranian cities<\/a>. They added that the fact-finding mission should travel to Iran and visit the prisons and thousands of detainees who are subjected to torture<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iranian opposition leader Mrs. @<\/span>Maryam_Rajavi<\/span><\/a> has called on the @<\/span>UN<\/span><\/a> to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to the prisons to meet with the detainees.
