Thousands of Iranians staged a demonstration in front of the State Department in Washington D.C. on June 21 and rallied towards the White House in solidarity with the Iranian people\u2019s uprising for a regime change<\/a> in Iran. They expressed their support for Iranian Resistance (NCRI & PMOI) and Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Platform<\/a> for Free Iran.<\/p>\n

The participants, who converged from various US states at the rally, condemned the brutal violations of human rights in Iran and the mullahs’ terrorism and belligerence. Demonstrators also expressed their support for the resistance units and councils in Iran.<\/p>\n

The Washington rally was the 2nd of at least 5 major demonstrations that are scheduled to be held in June and July 2019 for regime change in Iran. The first of these five Free Iran rallies was held in Brussels<\/a> on June 15; The next Rally<\/a> will be in\u00a0Berlin<\/strong>\u00a0(Germany) on July 6; and then in Stockholm<\/strong> (Sweden) on July 20; and finally in\u00a0London<\/strong>\u00a0(U.K.) on July 27, 2019.<\/p>\n

Let’s support the Iranian people\u2019s uprising for a democratic regime change and the\u00a0Ten-Point Plan<\/a>\u00a0of the Iranian Resistance President-elect\u00a0Maryam Rajavi\u00a0as the only Viable & Democratic Alternative<\/a> for the future of Iran. Mrs. Rajavi leads<\/a> the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>),” the demonstrators reiterated.<\/p>\n

There is a democratic and competent alternative, the\u00a0NCRI, and a Resistance deeply rooted in Iran capable of overthrowing the regime and managing affairs during the transition<\/a> so that the Iranian people can choose their true representatives through free and fair elections.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime is in a state of panic, fearing the eruption of another popular uprising which can lead to its ultimate downfall. The regime has also received several major blows including the\u00a0designation<\/a> of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC<\/a>) as a \u201cForeign Terrorist Organization\u201d (FTO<\/a>)\u00a0by the U.S. State Department, comprehensive sanctions and a united front against its terrorism across the globe and warmongering in the region. As a result, the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has found no option but to resort to more suppression and torture in order to control escalating chaos within his regime.<\/p>\n

\"\"“While the Iranian people cry their outrage over poverty, unemployment, and the regime\u2019s rapacity and corruption, it is our duty to participate in the Washington D.C. rally to echo their demands for regime change, freedom, and democracy.<\/p>\n

“We also voice support for\u00a0Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a network inside Iran closely associated to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) \u2013 and the National Liberation Army in their efforts to overthrow the tyrannical regime of the ruling mullahs.”<\/p>\n

\"\"Speakers at the Washington, D.C. rally emphasized<\/a> that any attempts to reform the regime from within has and will fail, and the only way to restore peace and security in Iran and the Middle East is regime change in Iran.<\/p>\n

The speakers and participants at the rally also called for immediate, concrete measures against the regime, including the terrorist designation of its Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS<\/a>), the notorious apparatus behind the regime’s foreign espionage and terrorism operations.<\/p>\n

In her message to the rally<\/a>, Mrs. Rajavi said, in the past 40 years, the mullahs gave the wrong address for the enemy to the Iranian people to hide from their rage. The mullahs named America as the enemy but we have never been deceived, and for four decades, we have called for the overthrow of this regime. Now, ironically, people of Iran cry out everywhere that “our enemy is right here, and the clerics lie when they say America is the enemy.”<\/p>\n

\"\"Reiterating that the Mullahs are the “prime cause of war in the region<\/a>\u00a0and terrorism across the world,” Mrs. Rajavi said<\/a>:\u00a0 “The mullahs are emboldened when they don\u2019t pay the price of their crimes.\u00a0Those who benefit from the regime promote appeasement; but based on 40 years of experience, the mullahs\u2019 regime lacks any capacity for reform and changing its behavior. Khamenei says changing the regime’s behavior is tantamount to regime change.”<\/p>\n

“The real question in dealing with the religious fascism ruling Iran is choosing either appeasement or firmness vis-a-vis the mullahs? Despite the fact that for 40 years this regime is at war with the people of Iran and the world, those who continue to benefit from the regime engage in fearmongering about a looming war and try to deter the world community from being decisive, hence encouraging appeasement,” Mrs. Rajavi added<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"“In their disgraceful demonization campaign against the Iranian Resistance, the pro-appeasement media seek to perpetuate the narrative that the people of Iran are better off with the theocratic rule of the mullahs; They say there is no alternative and don\u2019t even think or talk about it.\u00a0 Their conclusion is:
\n\u2022 The religious fascism must be appeased and there are no other options.
\n\u2022 Now, if the U.S. administration does not appease the mullahs\u2019 tyranny, it would be a warmonger.
\n\u2022 If the U.S. obstructs the Iranian regime\u2019s path toward nuclear weapons, it would be a warmonger.”<\/p>\n

“We only seek freedom and human rights, which, of course, paves the way for development, justice, peace and security in Iran and the region. What we seek is an Iran free of religious fascism, a non-nuclear Iran, without terrorism and warmongering,\u201d Mrs. Rajavi said and concluded<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Freedom will prevail over the Shah and the mullahs and as Massoud Rajavi has said, this outcome will “offer peace, security, democracy, human rights, stability, rebuilding, friendship, and a non-nuclear Iran that seeks economic cooperation and development in this part of the world, and a country that will respect international laws and conventions.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
