Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Javad Zarif,\u00a0<\/span>announced his\u00a0resignation<\/a>\u00a0on his Instagram on Monday and wrote: \u201cI apologize for not being able to continue my services, …and for all the shortcomings over the past 67 months…\u201d.<\/p>\n

Zarif\u00a0resignation comes just a day before the\u00a0<\/span>Iranian Resistance’s protest rally<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>against his visit to the UN<\/span>\u00a0takes place in Geneva on February 26.<\/p>\n

Iran’s official media including\u00a0Tasnim affiliated to (IRGC’s) terrorist Quds Force announced Zarif’s resignation on February 25 and the state-run IRNA also echoed the news: \u201cForegin Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, resigned on Monday, February 25, 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to foreign desk reporter of the IRGC’s Fars news agency, a close source to the regime’s of Foreign Ministry confirmed the resignation, but no specific reason for his decision was given.<\/p>\n

\"\"Zarif’s decision is much more than simple resignation of a Foreign Minister, particularly at this critical juncture for the regime where the mullahs are facing regional and global isolation, and the international pressure build-up following the Warsaw Summit, Munich Security Conference and recently Sharm al-Sheikh meeting, among other things including international sanctions, is bringing the regime to its knees.<\/p>\n

His resignation reflects the utmost crises engulfing the mullahs’ regime and clearly shows that the regime has reached a dead-end in its foreign policy and international relationship.<\/p>\n

The mullahs\u00a0have committed huge atrocities against Iranian people and the people of region and the world in the past 40 years for which they must face justice. These include more than 120,000 political executions in Iran since 1979, with 30,000 being slaughtered in the\u00a0summer of 1988<\/a>\u00a0alone. Amnesty International has recently said that Iran’s regime criminalizes any political activism. The international human rights organization considers the Regime\u2019s failure to bring the criminals who committed the 1988 massacre to justice as \u201can ongoing crime against humanity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Javad Zarif is a member of the regime\u2019s Supreme National Security Council. He has been involved in all decision-making processes to carry out terrorist attacks and assassinations abroad. This includes the bombing plot targeting the 2018 Iranian opposition rally near Paris back in June 2018.<\/p>\n

Zarif is at best an accomplice in the crimes committed by the mullahs regime. His resignation does not acquit him of the crimes he has committed throughout the last few decades, particularly during his term as FM, and must be held accountable. He should not be allowed entry into any foreign country as he is responsible for many loss of lives and devastation inflicted on the people of Iran and the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The people of Iran have made their choice clear. They are calling for a regime change in Iran and recognition of Iran\u2019s opposition (NCRI<\/a>) as the only democratic alternative because the current ruling regime cannot and will not reform. Therefore, the wider world should reject the mullahs and support the Iranian people\u2019s legitimate right for resistance and democratic change in Iran.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
