Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of Iranian Resistance for the transition period after the mullahs\u2019 overthrow, is the Shining Sun of freedom & emancipation of Iranian people and their hope for equality and social justice. <\/b><\/pre>\n
On October 21, 1993, the Iranian Resistance parliament-in-exile, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), introduced Mrs. Maryam Rajavi as the president-elect for the transition period after the mullahs\u2019 overthrow in Iran.<\/p>\n
The events of the past 25 years indicate that the election of Mrs. Rajavi as the president of the Iranian Resistance was the best choice not\u00a0only for this period to advance the goals of the Resistance and to realize the overthrow of the despicable tyranny of the mullahs’ regime but also for the transition period to transfer the sovereignty to the Iranian people. At the same time, her thoughts, perspectives, stances, and plans are color of tomorrow and smell of a promising bright future!<\/p>\n
She describes Iran\u2019s future in a poem she recited in the grand gathering of Iranians in June 2014 in Paris:<\/p>\n

\nWhere the gallows, are nothing but a bitter and distant memory<\/em>
\nWhere Cranes will once again be used for constructing the cities<\/em>

\nWhere every city and street of tomorrow,<\/em>
\nWould have imprinted bold on their walls,<\/em>
\nNo to lashing and torture<\/em>
\nNo to massacre of joyful flowers and smiles<\/em>
\nNo to suppressing people<\/em>
\nNo to nuclear destruction and atomic bombs<\/em>
\nAt the heart of this soil, lies only the blossoming of delight<\/em>
\nEverywhere, the only assumed and inalienable right, in every corner of this land, is freedom<\/em>

\nWhere greatness of the sun, will be captured in the shining eyes of its dawns<\/em>

Maryam Rajavi, the irreconcilable enemy of the mullahs\u2019 oppressive regime, has presented a 10-Point Platform for the future of free Iran that emphasizes on gender equality, respect for all individual freedom, separation of religion and state, and a non-nuclear Iran. The platform calls for a pluralist system and freedom of parties and assembly, and more importantly abolition of death penalty.<\/p>\n
A look at Maryam Rajavi\u2019s 10-Point Platform<\/a> for Free Iran of Tomorrow sheds more light on why she is the right choice for the transition period and a promising future for Iran.<\/p>\n
In addition, she has presented a plan for women\u2019s rights and equality<\/a> that outlines a new perspective on the future of Iranian women and girls as the following:<\/p>\n

  8. Prohibition of sexual exploitation<\/li>\n

    Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s platform revives the lost trust of Iranian people who were betrayed by Khomeini\u2019s regime and his reactionary followers that oppressed the Iranian people for nearly four decades with a dagger and the slogan of \u201ceither hijab or slap on the head\u201d imposing compulsory veiling on Iranian women while having no merit for Iranian society<\/a>, except for poverty, suppression and killing.<\/p>\n
