The terror plot<\/a> intending to bomb the annual Iranian convention in Paris on June 30\u00a0was approved<\/a> at the highest level of the Iranian regime leadership, according to the opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).<\/p>\n

The Paris-based NCRI cited its intelligence sources inside Iran to say the regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani both approved the terror plot.<\/p>\n

Belgian authorities successfully neutralized the plot after discovering explosives in a Mercedez-Benz car driven by a Belgian couple of Iranian origin.<\/p>\n

Assadolah Assadi, an Iranian regime diplomat\/spy stationed in the mullahs\u2019 Vienna embassy, directed the couple, according to Belgian prosecutors.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime is known to routinely fill its European embassies with intelligence operatives tasked to spy aggressively on exiled dissidents.<\/p>\n

While media outlets have gone as far as accusing the PMOI\/MEK of plotting this attack as a \u201cfalse flag\u201d operation, U.S. officials rejected the claim as ludicrous saying that they are certain the Iranian regime set the plan into motion, intending to kill hundreds at the massive convention.<\/p>\n

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the Iranian regime routinely uses its embassies as terrorist hubs. This is endangering the host countries and their neighbors.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust this past week there Iranians were\u00a0arrested in Europe who were preparing to conduct a terror plot in\u00a0Paris<\/a>, France. We have seen this malign behavior in Europe,\u201d Pompeo told the UK\u2019s Sky News.<\/p>\n

Attending the NATO conference in Brussels, a senior State Dept. official specifically accused Tehran. This is in line with the Trump administration to financially isolate the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe went to Saudi Arabia to coordinate stronger pressure on Iran,\u201d the official told reporters. \u201cWe discussed new ways to deprive the regime of revenues to terrorize people and to terrorize other nations. We discussed how Iran uses embassies as cover to plot terrorist attacks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most recent example is the plot that the Belgians foiled, and we had an Iranian diplomat out of the Austrian Embassy as part of the plot to bomb a meeting of Iranian opposition leaders in Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n

The official added: \u201cThe United States is urging all nations to carefully examine diplomats in Iranian embassies to ensure their countries\u2019 own security.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Iran can plot bomb attacks in Paris, they can plot attacks anywhere in the world, and we urge all nations to be vigilant about Iran using embassies as diplomatic cover to plot terrorist attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Germany is now facing demands from dissidents to extradite Assadi, whom they describe as a \u201cterrorist diplomat,\u201d to Belgium to face due justice.<\/p>\n

Belgian prosecutors are describing Assadi as the figure directing the Belgium-based couple, now being described as a sleeper cell.<\/p>\n

The NCRI statement says the Paris plot was approved by all levels of the Iranian regime hierarchy months ago, including the regime’s Supreme Leader, President, Foreign and Intelligence ministries, and the notorious Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).<\/p>\n

Assadi was under the cover of being a counselor, according to the\u00a0NCRI statement<\/a>, while in fact, he is the regime\u2019s Intelligence Ministry station chief in Vienna, coordinating ministry measures with other stations checkered across Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis main task was espionage and conspiracy against the [MEK], and he has been traveling to various European countries in this regard,\u201d the report reads.<\/p>\n

The NCRI, and its pivotal member, the PMOI\/MEK, run a vast intelligence and resistance operation inside Iran, targeting the Iranian regime\u2019s interests in a variety of methods. This coalition enjoys a long history of disclosing the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear program advances missed by Western intelligence.<\/p>\n
