2024 Report: PMOI Resistance Units lead courageous activities for Iran’s freedom

Throughout 2024, the PMOI Resistance Units emerged as the unwavering torchbearers of Iran’s uprising, instilling hope and courage among the oppressed. In daring defiance of the regime’s brutal security apparatus, these activists conducted widespread operations, from commemorating martyrs to marking pivotal events like the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi’s release from the prisons of the Shah regime. Across cities such as Tehran, Zahedan, Shiraz, and Kermanshah, they showcased their resilience through banners, graffiti, and public demonstrations, echoing slogans like “Death to the oppressor” and “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

The Resistance Units also rejected the regime’s sham elections and dictatorship, actively boycotting and dismantling regime propaganda. Their defiance carried immense risk, with affiliation to the PMOI punishable by death or severe repression. Yet, their actions persist, projecting images of freedom and democracy, and uniting Iran’s people in their aspiration for change. Against all odds, the PMOI Resistance Units remain a beacon of hope for a liberated Iran.

 

January 2024

January 20, 2024: Resistance Units across Iran commemorated the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi’s release from Shah’s prison by installing posters, projecting images, and spreading slogans in cities like Tehran, Shiraz, Karaj, and Kermanshah, reaffirming their commitment to freedom and resistance against tyranny.

 

February 2024

February 8: PMOI Resistance Units commemorated the martyrs of February 8, 1982, including Ashraf Rajavi and Mousa Khiabani, with banners and messages of sacrifice across cities like Tehran, Rasht, Shiraz, and Sanandaj, renewing their commitment to freedom and regime change in Iran.

February 25: Ahead of Iran’s sham elections, PMOI Resistance Units in Tehran, Mashhad, Zahedan, and other cities proclaimed “It’s time for a revolution,” rejecting dictatorship in all forms and calling for regime change through bold displays and public slogans.

 

February 29: On the eve of the Iranian regime’s sham parliamentary elections, PMOI Resistance Units across Tehran, Mashhad, Karaj, and 60 other cities destroyed regime propaganda, called for revolution, and underscored the public’s boycott of the illegitimate process, highlighting nationwide rejection of dictatorship.

 

March 2024

March 8: PMOI Resistance Units honored International Women’s Day across Tehran, Shiraz, Karaj, and Zahedan, with posters proclaiming women’s pivotal role in overthrowing tyranny, resonating with Maryam Rajavi’s leadership and the fight for equality and freedom in Iran.

March 12: PMOI Resistance Units intensified pre-Nowruz activities across Tehran, Arak, Qazvin, Kerman, and Ahvaz, using banners declaring “Death to Khamenei” and “Long Live Freedom,” signaling widespread dissent and a call for regime change.

March 18: PMOI Resistance Units escalated pre-Nowruz anti-regime activities in Tehran, Karaj, Rasht, Zabul, and Khorramabad, distributing placards and graffiti like “Woman, Resistance, Freedom” and “Death to Khamenei,” amplifying calls for rebellion and women-led resistance against oppression.

March 19: PMOI Resistance Units marked Nowruz with anti-regime activities in Tehran, Karaj, Rasht, Sanandaj, Shiraz, and Khorramabad, distributing banners and graffiti calling for “Woman, Resistance, Freedom” and denouncing Khamenei’s leadership, intensifying their call for democratic change and nationwide uprisings.

March 22: PMOI Resistance Units marked Nowruz with widespread activities across Tehran, Karaj, Rasht, Bandar Astara, and Sari, raising banners proclaiming “Woman, Resistance, Freedom” and amplifying Maryam Rajavi’s call for democratic change despite the regime’s intensified repression.

April 2, Tehran, Karaj, Fuman, Lahijan, Arak, Mahalat, Kashmar, Shahrekord, Babol: Resistance Units launched widespread activities including banners and slogans like “Women, Resistance, Freedom,” emphasizing women’s central role in resisting the regime.

April 6, Zahedan, Tehran, Lahijan, Rasht, Arak, Bandar Abbas, Sari, Amol, Kermanshah, Marvadasht: Coordinated campaigns under slogans like “From Zahedan to Tehran, my life for Iran” and “It is time for revolution,” highlighted the growing call for freedom and democracy.

April 10, Tehran, Rasht, Bam, Kashan, Rafsanjan, Yazd, Saveh, Mahalat, Lahijan, Anzali, Zahedan, Hamedan, Khorramabad, Sanandaj, Tabriz, Karaj, Sabzevar: Resistance Units launched activities with the slogan “Women, Resistance, Freedom” and promoted Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Plan, emphasizing democracy, gender equality, and the fight against oppression.

April 13, Zahedan: Placards in Zahedan carried powerful messages like “Down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the mullahs,” rejecting all forms of dictatorship while championing women’s rights with “Women, Resistance, Freedom.”

April 18, Tehran, Rasht, Hamedan, Lahijan, Mashhad: Resistance Units commemorated PMOI martyrs executed by the Shah regime with banners honoring their legacy and emphasizing the enduring fight for freedom against oppression.

 

May 2024

PMOI Resistance Units expanded their activities across Iran, defying repression and emphasizing their commitment to a democratic, secular republic.

  • May 19, Nationwide: Resistance Units promoted Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, opposing forced hijab and advocating for gender equality, freedom of speech, and the abolition of the death penalty.
  • May 21, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Mashhad, Karaj, Isfahan, Tabriz, Rasht, Hamedan, Qazvin, Damavand, Khorramabad, Malayer, Yazd, Qom, Zahedan: Resistance Units celebrated Raisi’s death with banners condemning his role in the 1988 massacre and calling for regime change. Slogans included “Khamenei next” and “Justice-seeking continues until the regime’s overthrow.”

PMOI Resistance Units amplified their efforts across Iran, commemorating historical events and promoting the Free Iran Rally through widespread actions under heavy repression.

  • June 14, Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Karaj, Babol, Saqqez, Tabriz, Urmia, Mahabad: Highlighted the Free Iran Rally with 10,000 activities including banners and leaflets declaring, “No to Shah, no to mullahs,” and advocating Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan.
  • June 20, Tehran, Kerman, Shiraz, Lahijan, Ramsar, Karaj, Sari, Zanjan, Babol, Gorgan, Hamedan: Commemorated the 1981 June 20 demonstration with posters and pledges to continue the struggle against dictatorship.

  • July 26, Zahedan: Banners with slogans such as “From Zahedan to Tehran, the time for revolution has come” and “The blood of martyrs boils” were displayed, emphasizing the people’s resolve for regime change.
  • July 27, Tehran, Karaj, Sanandaj, Mashhad, Bandar Abbas, Kermanshah, Ramsar, Qazvin, Isfahan, Khorramabad: Commemorated Operation Eternal Light with leaflets featuring leaders’ images and slogans of the PMOI.

 

August 2024

  • August 1, Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Qazvin, Ramsar, Damavand, Sabzevar, Shahrud: Commemorated the martyrs of the 2009 Camp Ashraf attack with leaflets, images, and slogans like “We stand firm to the end with a hundredfold resolve.”
  • August 7-9, Tehran, Sari, Karaj, Shiraz, Rasht, Kermanshah, Ahvaz, Sanandaj: Highlighted the regime’s wave of executions, declaring “29 executions in one day is Khamenei’s hard revenge” and pledging, “We are stronger than death, executions, and massacres.”

  • November 1, Zahedan: On the anniversary of Khash’s Bloody Friday, Resistance Units declared solidarity with fallen comrades, holding slogans reading, “We stand united with our allies until the end.”
